Trace
A Trace is the full record of an Interactive Agent's decision-making for a Session, the substrate that per-decision traceability, EvalOps, and the autonomous improvement loop operate against.
A Trace records every decision the agent made in a Session, the Policies that fired, the Routine steps traversed, the Variables read and written, the Tools invoked, the Universal Router selections, and the model outputs at every turn. A Trace is the unit of inspection. It exists wherever the agent runs. The Production Trace is the subset recorded under live production conditions; development and sandbox traces exist in their own environments. The Annotation Workflow labels Traces. Evaluation Suites score Traces. Co-Pilot reads Traces to surface refinement patterns. Traces reside inside the operator's sovereignty envelope.
