Autonomous Improvement Loop
Architectural requirement 4 of an Interactive Agent. The Autonomous Improvement Loop is the cycle by which an agent improves through authored refinement, gated by human governance.
The Autonomous Improvement Loop is not unsupervised drift. The agent does not modify its own policies in production without review. Co-Pilot, the analytic engine on the InteractiveAI Platform, reads production traces, surfaces patterns, and drafts proposed refinements to the policy library. The domain expert is the protagonist: the human inspects the proposal, edits it, accepts or rejects it. Every refinement passes a Human Governance Gate before merging into the live policy library. The loop has four stages: pattern detection from traces, refinement drafting by Co-Pilot, human review at the governance gate, and deployment through the standard build-connect-deploy-govern-improve lifecycle. The loop is what makes the policy library a compounding asset.
