Domain Expert Authoring
Domain Expert Authoring is the operating principle that the humans who understand the domain compose the AI's behaviour through the Eight Components, rather than translating their knowledge through engineers or prompt specialists.
The protagonist is the domain expert. The product compliance officer in iGaming. The fraud analyst in Financial Services. The reservations operations lead in Travel and Hospitality. These are the people whose decisions the production system is meant to encode.
Authoring runs through the Eight Components: Prompts, Policies, Routines, Glossary, Macros, Variables, Tools, Knowledge Base. The domain expert composes. The platform structures the composition.
The pattern inverts the engineering-led model in which a product manager writes a requirements document, an engineer writes the code, and a data scientist tunes the model. In that model, three handoffs sit between domain knowledge and production behaviour. In Domain Expert Authoring, zero handoffs sit between them.
